Fishing Report:

Blue water, 25 - 30 miles out. Red Snapper fishing is
excellent caught on live and cut bait. King Mackerel fishing excellent for
fish 30 - 40 lbs caught on diving lures and spreader bars. Bill fish are
active in 400 ft to 600 ft of water.

"Red Snapper bite is excellent from 7 miles offshore to
40 miles offshore. Snappers can be caught on cut bait, lures and live bait.
Geaux Deep has been bring in limits of Red Snapper to 14 lb using cut
Bonito.
There is a drill rig (Bob Palmer) 37.5 miles due East of
the Port Mansfield jetties in 300 ft. of water that is holding Wahoo,
Bonito, King Mackerel, and a large number of Sharks. NOTE: Night boaters
beware of large floating tie off ropes trailing off mooring buoys.
Blue water is about 40-45 miles offshore at this time"

Offshore
Offshore fishing season out of Port Mansfield, TX has
begun. Water temperature 73 to 75 degrees.
King Mackerel are in off the jetties. The Red Snapper
bite is on. Bonita and Jack fish are in 45-90 ft of water.
The shrimpers have been working deeper water 200-300 ft.
of water. Some good Blackfin Tuna can be caught off these shrimpers.
Remember shrimping season is closed from May 15 to July 15. So if you want a
good shot at some Blackfin, Ling, and/or large Sharks NOW is your best
chance to catch them around shrimp boats until after July 15th.
